Your Lashes Do Not Like Heat
Eyelash glue is weakest right after your extension. So please keep your lashes dry for minimum of 4 hours post service. Avoid shower or steam during this time. For the first 3 days avoid sauna or steam rooms. All these would help to keep your eyelash extension for longer. These reminders are all listed on the instruction card. If you don’t have one, remember to ask us. Every time you visit i-Lashes in Brisbane City, we check with you to see if you still have it.
Can I get a facial with my lash extensions on? Short answer is a conditional yes. Eyelash Extension glue does not like heat. Excessive heat breaks up the molecules in the glue. This shortens the lifespan of your lashes. Facials mean you generally expect steam or heat. We don’t recommend steam. But warm towel is generally OK.
In order to maximise the life of your lashes. Avoid moisture for the first four hours. For heat, avoid it for within three days after eyelash extension. Because even after 4 hours, your lash glue can still be unstable for three days. Keep your lashes nice and dry. Avoid going to saunas, steam rooms or similar places. Direct contact with steam is not ideal for your eyelash extensions. Even after 4 hours, your lash glue can still be unstable for three days. Keep your lashes nice and dry. Eyelash glue is basically set after three days. It should holds strength well. If you are going for a facial you could after three days. Ask your therapist to use hot towel instead of a face steam. And very important to avoid applying heat to the eye area. Your then can expect eyelash extension to stay strong.
